Determination
Saturdays were special when Cindy Crutcher was a young girl. That was the day the whole family would go to town. If she and her siblings had been good all week, they would get a coke. Only one coke...for five of them to share! As the youngest of five, Cindy always had the last, and usually least amount to drink. At a young age, Cindy was determined she would one day be able to have as many cokes as she wanted. This determination and perseverance is a metaphor for Cindy Crutcher's life.
Cindy has always been a hard worker, seeing challenges as opportunities, not obstacles. Living in Anderson County all her life, her Bluegrass roots are deep. As farmers, country living shaped her work ethic as she milked cows and helped to raise the tobacco. At local softball games she would earn 10 cents for every out of bounds ball she retrieved. Her family lived sparingly, not always having what they wanted, but what they needed.
Tragedy struck for Cindy at age ten, when her father was shot and killed. Devastated, the family leaned on each other and friends for support. During this time, Cindy learned the lessons of faith and hope from her mother.
Cindy reflects about her mom, "She lost her husband as well as her mother and father in a 20 month time span ...she kept on going and praising God for everyday He gave her breath to breathe. Her actions taught me more than any words could ever say." She has been the greatest influence in Cindy's life. Family roots remain strong even today. On a weekly basis the whole family gathers to eat and visit with one another.
At sixteen Cindy met the "Crutch" she could lean on, Mark Crutcher. She considers him the most genuine person she has ever known. Two years after meeting they were married and soon built a home on his family farm where they still remain. Married 26 years and counting, their commitment is strong. Rounding out the Crutcher clan are their three daughters Leah, Emily and Teri and their rescued collie named "Ginger." As a family they love camping, eating hotdogs and smores and enjoying one another.
Leadership
Leadership is in Cindy's blood. She has always instinctively known how to delegate while bringing people together to accomplish goals. In high school she graduated valedictorian and continued on to receive a degree in Mathematics from University of Kentucky. She taught high school for several years before completing real estate school in 1988. Finding her calling, she fell in love immediately with real estate and soon became a leading agent in Anderson County.
After twelve years, she and her husband started their own company. Since then, Cindy has been the "Crutch" to lean on as she shares her real estate wisdom with both her agents and clients.
Although no longer a career path, teaching is engrained in all Cindy Crutcher does. "I love to teach what I know... I have a passion to share any knowledge or skill I have and love to help people achieve a goal." Her desire is to teach you anything and everything real estate.
Today, you will find Cindy in a variety of leadership roles. Besides running two real estate offices, she plays the piano in church, teaches a youth praise band, serves on the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce and on the athletic committee at her daughters' school. On her off time, she loves to fish, read, crochet and cross stitch.
Positive
Optimism and enthusiasm shine as pearls of Cindy Crutcher's warm personality. Her strength and positivity provide the stability for you to "Lean On" in any real estate transaction. As your "Crutch", she will provide the encouragement and support needed every step of the way.
