House Key Training - The House Key Seminar includes information about the Washington State Housing Commission's low-interest rate House Key State Bond first mortgage program, down payment assistance, and other loan programs and are accepted by all affordable housing loan programs as meeting or exceeding educational requirements. Instructors have agreed to standards which assure you that all seminars are:  At least five hours in length, covering all major aspects of the home buying process; presented in an open, unbiased format; use approved training materials and handouts; are offered by professionals who have attended our House Key and Homebuyer Education Instructor training class; and no direct marketing or sales presentations may be given either by the instructor or any guest speakers.
 Reservations are required for this seminar. Classes are scheduled for the follow dates:

First Time Home Buyer's Class (free class) - Knowledge is power.  This class gives people a real comfort level. They come through feeling much better prepared about what they encounter during their home buying process.  This educational course is designed to prepare you for the home buying search.  Course include information on mortgage lenders, inspections, appraisals, title insurance, writing the offer and more.  You will learn information that most realtors in Seattle don't even know.

Money Management for Kids (ages 10-17 ) - Financial literacy class teaching kids the value of managing their money.  The use of fun games and in-depth projects is incorporated to teach children key strategies of making money and retaining this wealth throughout their life.  Challenging concepts are taught in easy to learn terms such as taxes, inflation, assets vs. liabilities, good and bad credit, stock investing, real estate investing, making other people's money work for you and more!
 
The way these classes works is easy.  You gather together at least 6 students of similar ages (I recommend no more than 3 years apart for children).  The location of the classes is at the Ballard Library or I can use a venue that you come up with such as at someone's home.  Cost per person/child is $80.  This includes five 90 minute sessions.  If you sign up more than 12 people/children, cost is $65 per student.  If you are unable to gather a group but are still interested in a class, please contact me and I will set you up with a class.

Money Management for Adults - Financial literacy class teaching adults the value of managing their money.  We use real life situations as well as the Cash Flow 101 board game to learn the concepts of obtaining long term wealth in today's economy.  Concepts such as assets vs. liabilities, tax advantages, good credit and bad credit, real estate investing and making other people's money work for you are tough.  We dive deep into real estate and talk about different types of properties investments and strategies to for choosing the right property.  Different types of mortgages and managing your mortgage broker (what to watch out for) are also taught.

Credit Repair (free class) - Instruction on how to repair your credit including tips and strategies to use when disputing credit items.  I provide sample letters to use when sending your dispute as well as the appropriate addresses to send your credit disputes.
