Why do I specialize in Real Estate by the water you ask. Do I spend each day sunning on the lanai and drinking Pina Coladas? No. Do I float in my boat while slathering my body with sunscreen and tossing my cell phone in the water? No. Do I sit in a shady spot watching the calming waves lapping on the shore and reading Active Rain Posts? Well, occasionally. I also write them. My goal in this obsession of mine to write about my favorite lakes comes from seeing the joy of my clients purchases. I see and feel their excitement and dreams of growing memories that will last forever with their loved ones on and off the water. I see the joy they feel when they begin planning their weekends with family, cook-outs, boating and time to breathe and relax and laugh together.
Hummm....this turned out to me more about them than about me but that's what I'm all about. I believe that in this life what we do for ourselves dies with us. Yet, what we do for others will live on.
I enjoy selling Real Estate on the finest of Texas Lakes and will continue to as long as possible. If you are looking for a "caring" and dilligent Realtor then I believe you found her. That would be "me".
Debra Brooks, Your Lake Conroe Real Estate Specialist.
Debra Brooks and Scott Brooks' specialty is in the waterfront and second home market. We assist many buyers and sellers in the LAKE CONROE, LAKE LIVINGSTON, TRAVIS LAKE TEXAS market in purchasing the right weekend get-away for fun and as a wise investment.
Why does selling by the water require "SPECIALIZATION"? There are so many reasons. Our Texas Lakes are actually owned by the State and the local Authorities. Each Lake has its own required laws, details and Authorities Requirements.Which Lake is right for you? What type of boating do you prefer? Do you plan to sport boat or fish or pull the children on tubes? Where is the lake the safest to ski? Why is it safer there? Would I want to live on the open water? Would I prefer a "protected cove?" What is the difference? How would the difference affect my lifestyle and budget? Do I need a bulk head? Where could I get an Affordable Boat House? Do I own the Boat House if the waterfront belongs to the Authorities? How is the square footage calculated if I buy land with the home? If the home is listed with a "listing agent" is it better to call them directly? Do I have to have flood insurance? How much would it cost and where would I get it? Where is the best fishing? If the body of water is called "Conroe Creek" is it a part of Lake Conroe? What is the average water level of this lake? Does it ever dry up? Where does the water supply come from? Was it man made and when? Is it suppose to last forever? Does it ever dry up so that I can't get my boat out? If I don't live on the water where can I store my boat? Where can I launch my boat? Are the taxes affected being by the water? OMG, I could go on all night. Why would I want to live by a specific subdivision near or on the lake? Should I buy from a "For Sale By Owner?" ASK AND YOU WILL RECIEVE AN ANSWER, UNDERSTANDING AND REPRESENTATION FOR YOUR LAKE CONROE REAL ESTATE PURCHASE!
