Get to Know Bobbie Mercer

Have you ever met one of those people that are just as bubbly as can be when their feet hit the floor in the morning?  Well, that isn't me.  It takes me about "5 more minutes" anywhere from 5-10 times to get out of bed.  I am definitely a night person.  But, I'm always on time!  I learned quickly that $5.00 a day for a cup of coffee is ridiculous.  And besides I have my own coffeemaker.  Why have it if you aren't going to use it.  I am an animal rescuer.  I currently have 5 animals, three of those rescued.  I keep the humane society loaded with newspapers (I work at a hotel also, so there are many to recycle).  Family is everything.  Friends are treasures.  Life is a lesson of learning and a journey.  You make it.  I believe you may be strangers at first, but then you become friends.  My husband and I were high school sweethearts.  We just became licensed foster parents.  We lost a our only child, Daniel, our 22 year old son in an autombile accident.  I get out of bed everyday knowing it could be my last and engage myself to make someone smile that day.  I put my feet forward and remember everyday that someone is feeling a worse pain than I am and I pray for them.  I thank soldiers when I see them for their service (veterans as well). I'm a daughter, sister, friend and a libra.  I'm still a mom. I love the book "Who Moved My Cheese".  Riding in a jeep with the top down is one of my favorite things to do.  Fall is my favorite time of year.  I am an the author of "We Weren't Finished Being Parents" which will be published in September of 2008.  My desire for this book is that at least one person finds healing in it.  I believe in spirits and certainly believe in Heaven.

I'm married and beginning a new career after 40. I have become addicted to real estate and can't believe I didn't start earlier. The loss of my only son prompted me to follow this dream. Thanks Daniel
