Thank you for visiting Active Rain and viewing my profile! Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I live in Leland NC, which is a community just across the Cape Fear river from Wilmington NC. I have lived in the Wilmington area for 19 years, and have lived and worked in the Leland area for the past 5 years. My time in Leland has been good to me. Since I've lived here, I've met and married my wife, Erin. We have 2 children, Sarah and Joe, and have another on the way, a boy to be born in May. I use to have more hobbies than I do now, but when time allows I still enjoy golf and basketball. One of the "hobbies" we definitely take time for is gardening. Two years ago, we started with just tomatoes, and this year we had a great time growing potatoes, green peppers, collards, cabbage, onions, peanuts and more! I've enjoyed learning from my family and from books, a lot of the secrets of gardening.

Other things my wife and I enjoy are walking. We walk locally but also go  a couple of times a year to the Tennessee and North Carolina mountains to walk on the Appalachian Trail.We have a piece of land near our home where we go work. We walk and chop and plan and visualize. Our goal is to build our home there one day.

Our church home is Northside Baptist Church, where Erin and I met and married. Between church, family and work, there is not a lot of time for other things, and I'd have it no other way. I love my work, meeting and helping people. I love my family, spending time with my wife and children, and I love the Lord who has blessed me with many wonderful things.
