I'm a Greenwood native having been born and raised in the local area. I graduated from Greenwood High School and Presbyterian College where I was on the golf team and graduated with a degree in Business. I am the son of Imojean (McKellar) and F.M.(Plug) Lawrence. My mother received the Service to Mankind award from the local Sertoma Club for her contributions to 'special needs' children. My father owned a furniture and carpet business in the area. I have a twin sister Bonnie Harper and a brother Frank Lawrence who both live in Greenwood I have been married since 1977 to Brianna Dorn. Brianna is a Greenwood native, but she lived 8 months of each year in the suburbs of Washington, DC where her father Wm. Jennings Bryan Dorn served as our local repsentative in the US Congress from 1947 - 1974 and her mother Millie was an Editor with US News & World Report. Brianna is also a Realtor and owns a great shop Briarpatch On 34 located on Highway 34 in Greenwood. We have two sons, Will Batson, a commercial developer based in Columbia, SC.
