After 35 years of Sales, Marketing, General Management & finally Corporate Officer and Co-Owner of several businesses, I relocated from the beautiful Roanoke Valley to Anderson, SC on Lake Hartwell.  Not being one to be idle, I was convinced by my daughter, a Managing Broker for a prominant Real Estate Brokerage to get involved in Real Estate in VA as an agent.  I did just that a bit over 16 years ago and quickly realized I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges associated with working with clients who are looking for the best value in a home or maximizing their return on the sale of their existing home.  I work with a broad base of cleintelle, but I found that of all groups, I enjoy working with first time home buyers (young people-both single and couples) and  seniors most of all!  I gained my SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist), SFR and  CRS certifications.  Having moved to the Roanoke Valley and started in Real Estate from a zero base I learned to build the business from scratch. I am repeating that process in SC.  The challenge is having a small base of acquaintences with which to utilize as referrals.  On the other hand, since I have a smaller base of clients to work with, I can give my clients superior service.  I have always believed "FOLLOW UP" is the breakfast of champions.  This is particularly true in Real Estate.  When you "COMMIT" to do something for a client you must "DELIVER" on that commitment, which results in gaining my client's "TRUST".  I work hard to make the buying and selling experience hastle free and seemless by educating my clients on the entire buy/sell process. Certifications

I am CRS, SRES & SFR certified. Negotiating is far and away my strongest suit!  Quickly connecting with my clients helps me gain their valued trust.  Working with Seniors, who may need additional help with the myriad of forms, required actions and need or want to move back to their loved ones in their advancing years brings me joy and a sense of giving and accomplishing.  This is the reason I pursued the SRES designation. The downturn in the 2008-2012 time frame prompted me to secure the SFR designation. It is also useful in todays market. Working with seniors, second/vacation home buyers and buyers/sellers moving to upsize or downsize, including first time home buyers prompted me to gain the highly sought after CRS designation. 

Awards

I won the "Grand Slam" two years in a row for the SW Region of the company holding my license. One stop shopping was a motto we used in my previous life in business. I was very active in a large trade organization focused on that concept. Seeing the value of the concept I won several awards in Real Estate within the company holding my license in VA for what was called the Grand Slam. Though I always gave my clients multiple sources for loans, insurance and settlement, the company had all of these available in-house. I therefore explained the affiliation and related "war stories" of how one or more of the other three components of the Grand Slam (Agent [me]; Lender; Title & Settlement and Insurance) could seamlessly work together as we worked toward the closing. 

Skills

Negotiating and Follow up are my strongest suits in addition to all of the other skills needed to successfully get to closing table.
