Personal Information

After 20 years in the Electronics and Manufacturing Industry, Dick decided that Real Estate would be a greater challenge. In 1984, he opened the doors to American Brokers in Prospect Heights, IL which over the years became a pillar in the community & one of the Top ERA Franchises in the US.

As a Past President of the Local Chamber of Commerce, Dick played a key role in planning the successful economic development of his community, again bringing people together.

Whether it's promoting water safety as Commander of the US Power Squadron, spearheading the annual fundraiser for "Jerry's Kids" or organizing the distribution of 40,000 American flags in the area communities for 4th of July, just a few minutes with Dick Hughes and it becomes quickly apparent that he is a Mover and a Shaker!
