Hi there, my name is Amy Whiffen.  I am a full time licensed Realtor with RE/MAX Southern Shores here in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

I was born and raised outside Milwaukee, WI. Go Green Bay Packers! I fell in love with the east coast while spending my summers in Ocean City, MD and later decided to make the move to the Carolina Forest area of Myrtle Beach in 1999 and start my Myrtle Beach real estate career.

Over the years I have watched Carolina Forest grow from a small timber land area to a thriving, beach community with amazing real estate opportunities.

I like to think of myself as a no "bs" real estate professional. I will get together and discuss your needs and wants with you and then we will work together to find your perfect property. You may be in the beginning stages just looking into real estate and that's great! I will be glad to take the time and help you get to the point where YOU are ready to buy. No pressure, no cheesy gimmicks and if your still not sure your ready to make the move here and buy we here at Eagle Realty also handle short and long term rental properties along the entire Grand Strand!

Over the years I have enjoyed earning the following real estate designation to help represent my clients better:

GRI, Graduate Realtor Institute designation.  The GRI symbol is the mark of a real estate professional who has made the commitment to provide a high level of professional services by securing a strong educational foundation.   e-PRO This course teaches real estate professionals the nuts and bolts of working with real estate on-line: Web sites, e-mail, on-line tools, and most of all, what today's consumer really wants. Seniors Real Estate Specialist, SRES, are REALTORS® qualified to address the needs of home buyers age 55-plus by demonstrating necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel through major financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home.

With todays current market conditions "short sales" and Myrtle Beach foreclosures are more common than ever.  These can be fantastic buying opportunities with the correct real estate professional helping you!

   * If your thinking of selling your Myrtle Beach home as a "short sale" or are contemplating "walking away" from your home because of debt or frustration, please call me! This is not time to hide or be afraid to talk.  These are big decisions and with the right agent, attorney and team there are ways to work out a plan with your mortgage company to get the best possible resolution.

When I first moved to the beach in '99 I thought who would want to live in the Carolina Forest area of Myrtle Beach? It's on the other side of the waterway! Well, since then lots of people have, including my family.  Five homes later I'm still here in Carolina Forest! (It's tough working around beautiful homes all day, you always want something else)

I pride myself in knowing all of the developments of Carolina Forest and being familiar with the new construction opportunities as well as Carolina Forest foresclosures or short sale properties.

Just a few of our neighborhoods are: Plantation Lakes, Covington Lake, Avalon, Walkers Woods, Berkshire Forest, The Bluffs, The World Tour, Springlake and Waterford Plantation.

The Carolina Forest Myrtle Beach, SC area has so much to offer, with so much still being developed:

Two hospitals within 10 minutes each: Conway Medical Center and Grand Strand Regional Center The corner of Carolina Forest Blvd and Hwy 501 offers grocery stores, banking, a post office, restaurants, medical offices and lots of shopping! Two colleges: Coastal Carolina University and Horry-Georgetown Technical College Easy access to Highways 501, 31, 22 and the beach.  Great proximity to the  Myrtle Beach International Airport and coastal areas. The Carolina Forest Community Center offering sports, cubscouts and lots of fun! Carolina Forest Schools: constantly growing and building for the future!
