My most recent experience was with a plumber who came to my townhome to see about a kitchen sink disposal malfunction. He introduced himself and explained why he was there and asked me questions about what sort of trouble I was having. After telling him of my situation, he began immediately to examine the existing disposal in the double sink from underneath the kitchen cabinet. After a few minutes, he told me it needed to be replaced, as it was worn out. I asked if he would need to go pick up one, and he said he had the exact (upscale) brand and horsepower in his service van. I followed him out to the van and was very impressed at the organized shelving inside the van and no junk or parts lying around as we usually expect to see in a plumber's van. Instead, everything was labeled and in it's place. I was impressed. To me, this helped me to know that he would treat my kitchen in the same manner as he replaced the damaged disposal. He got right to work and had everything running like new in record time. His tools remained in his tool box, and not on my kitchen counters. He had put down a mat in front of the kitchen sink area, so as not to damage my tile floor also. Once he checked out the operation of the new disposal, he set out to remove his tool box, back to the van. He came back inside with clean hands and a the paperwork for me to sign. I couldn't believe how well this young man knew exactly how to present himself, perform the work, and clean up the work area so quickly, with no worries on my part. I thanked him for his excellent work. He left his card and said that if I experienced any difficulties to call him immediately. I was again impressed! Old Republic must train their people in how to present the company in a professional, friendly, smiling, and efficient way to their customers. I am very happy to have my policy and know that the next time I need help, it will be a good experience as well.
