Did you know that it is the sellers responsibility to make sure that there are carbon monoxide detectors in the home prior to closing? Yep, this went into effect on July 1, 2009 so make sure that you cross your T's and dot your I's! They have to be installed within 15 feet of each room that is used for sleeping, and they can also be at ceiling height as well as right above the baseboard. But they ALL must have a battery back up if they are hardwired......just something to keep in mind :)
