In California we are a Trust Deed state meaning are foreclosure process is faster, less expensive and the bank cannot come after you once the foreclosure is completed. What if you TOOK MONEY OUT, REFINANCED OR CHANGED THE ORIGINAL TERMS OF YOUR LOAN? Then all bets MAY be off!
