Services for Real Estate Pros - Vizzitopia
This blog centers around the adventures and observations of experienced stager, Juliet Johnson, who has specialized in the luxury real estate market of North Central New Jersey for the last 8 years and is now located in Jacksonville, FL. Along the way, I've picked up ton of tips about relocating, since I've now moved 3 times in 3 years, and a fair amount of skill in web based marketing and local SEO. I now offer online visibility training and social media management to small businesses, realtors and home sellers throughout the US.

Back in March, I posted a 2-part blog on 9 tips to compete with new construction. Part 1  and Part 2  (This was after studying the reports, comments and PR around the Home Builder’s Show in Florida.) Yesterday, my husband shared an article from ‘The Bottom Line’, where they had interviewed Kermit...

There was a house I worked on in June.  It came on real late, so we were all most anxious that the thing get seen by every relo coming through.  (We have no summer market here; everyone's away.  Relos are it.) It's sold now.  In 84 days for $1.2 million and change.  The clincher?  A $5,000 shoppi...

House sitting might appear to be free staging... live staging, even! But can it really work? Sure the seller/builder gets free furniture and a free, LIVE demo of lifestyle for his (her) potential buyers, but does it work?  It can't work for all vacants can it? Surely, if the home's biggest asset ...

Catching up with photos, slide shows, general marketing, etc. This was "the little house that did!"  Trading promptly in 23 days, for full asking price.  Realtor was so pleased; homeowners are delightful people who deserved this win.  All this in July, which is our quietest month for home staging...

Everyone now and again, a stager gets to work on a marvelous home with dramatic detail, wonderful view, perfect light, everything great.  This was such a home.  A designer had been in, years back, and now the realtor just wanted a few tweaks to buff up this grande dame: from the "hill" section of...

Background It was my 50th birthday and we had to go somewhere: Nick had gone golfing in Scotland for a week for his, so we needed to do something for mine.  I quite fancied a trip to Machu Pichu in Peru, and found a package that would put us on the mountain on the day, but it was with my college ...

Seth Godin's blog today raises an interesting point, particularly for stagers and realtors - http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2008/07/are-they-ready.html It's about delivering a message when the person is ready to listen, so that they actually hear it. So often, we beg realtors to let us ...

In a sudden, lovely flurry of activity over the last 4 days, one gig went as follows:- I was called in to do an hour's worth of rearranging and consultation for a house that had been on the market a while.  There had been an offer.  A low one.  The seller had been offended and though negotiation...

Once a Manhattan realtor, I have bought and sold 12 homes in 19 years in 4 countries. That, and 7 years of staging homes for sale in New Jersey adds up to a lot of experience.
