Today, in Buncombe County (Asheville area) there are 3,431 residential properties actively on market this minute in our MLS system.  Only 14 more than when I pulled my Absorption Rate Report on the 12'th of this month.  Every day it's the same story...180 new listings/46 sold.  LOTS of inventory!...
