"This was fun, and wonderful - a story from 2004.
Worked with some great clients - he ran a girls school, and had three dughters - constantly surrounded by females! After a week or two we found a house they all liked, convenient to things important to them all.
Remember, this was a high market then - a feeding frenzy to be sure, so I expected this very nice home to have multiple offers, and I was correct.
But, I had seen a family photograph when we had viewed the home - twice.
The photos was of the sellers and their THREE daughters.
My buyers daughters had all picked a bedroom, inspired by the three girls who had grown up there.
So.... I wrote a cover letter explaining how my clients, and their THREE daughters, loved the home, and the girls had all picked out favorite bedrooms.
Well, out of four offers(I personaly presented my clients offer), my clients was third in offer price, but still a good offer.
The sellers were so touched by the similarities between their family and my clients they quickly acepted my clients offer.
Happily ever after!"

"This is not an ActiveRain Success Story, but may help another agent. I work a farm area of about 600 homes and one day knocked on a door and left some information about real estate. Then next week I recieved a call from a young couple who are living with their parents. Her father gave her my card and said this guy came by, you should give hime a call since you are ready to make a move. So I met up with them the very next night and signed them on as a buyer. I asked when would you like to look around and they said tomorrow would be great. I thinking awesome they are really ready to go, I love first time buyers. Long story short I only showed them 6 houses in 4 days and we wrote on the sixth and had the offer accepted the next day!! We then closed in about 35 days. So from first call from a farm client to the satisfied clients getting the keys, it only took about 40 days. Knock on doors...It works!!"
