"Active Rain is so much more than just a blog! I have made contacts all over the US and increased my awareness of how other agents manage time, clients and contracts. It is like having an endless supply of friends to "talk shop" with that inspire you to greatness and lift you up when you need it most. Reading about other agents experiences helps me to enjoy real estate more every day. I would like to thank all of my AR friends who leave comments for me, they are much appreciated. (One day I will meet a few of you at a future Rain Camp, I promise!!) Of special note: I had a referral from AR turn into a sale in 2011. I also won a sales award from S & W Real Estate for top producer. Thanks go to Active Rain for helping me reach my sales goals."

Jason Buck (Re/Max Palos Verdes)

"In September of 2011 I received an email from a person looking for a home in Palos Verdes. He said he was looking for a large safe home in a good school district with a pool and ocean view. I sent him 17 listings around the $3.4 million mark. My client liked a home however it sold. I mentioned a larger home down the street which was more expensive yet had more features the client desired. I went and shot video of the home walking with the camera and describing what I saw. He bought the home after watching the video I made for him. I personalized the video for him explaining the attributes I liked, the flow and floor plan, and some of the parts that need work. My client is extremely satisfied, and we have a great relationship that started at my website. The selling price was $3,850,000 and made my year and highest sale ever.
I have really enjoyed working on the new technology and have a live streaming webcam of Palos Verdes at www.PalosVerdesWebcam.com

said over 12 years ago,
"I posted a blog on 6/24/11 about a great home for sale in Rochester New Hampshire, this was my "deal of the week" post. On Saturday the 25th, I was contacted by a gentleman, who later became my client. He had seen my blog post while searching for a home.
We made a appointment to see the home I had blogged about on Monday the 27th. That particular house was not the one he was searching for, but after a appointment in my office, a buyer agency agreement, and a pre-qaulification from a lender, we found the house of his dreams. We were under agreement on July 20th and the house just closed this morning, Wednesday, Aug. 31st."

"A Cow Story.
I often read about the wonders of connectivity, networking, uniting, and referring. How being a Rain Maker can change your profitability in the Real Estate Market. Lots of success stories, remarkable, and true. Exciting stuff! My Active Rain story is slightly different. It is a story about a cow.
And a Rain Maker and good friend Robert Twaron. I am not sure how we found each other, or if he found me, or I found him first - but somewhere, somehow Robert and I connected and started reading and commenting on each others writings. A prolific blogger and creative writer, I was drawn into Robert's stories of Texas, homesteads, relocations and yes - his cows. Not just any cows, but special Kobee Beef Wagu cows.
It was around about this time that my 4 year old daughter called me from Thompson Manitoba to declare she had started Lariat practicing, and was wanting to someday have a pet cow.
"But what would you do with a pet cow, Abby?" Gramma Sharon politely asked. Abby paused, momentarily, then declared in the self righteous, proud voice that only an innocent child can muster "I'm gonna lasso him, hog tie him, tattoo him and deworm him, Gramma." "Every day, Abby?" I responded incredulously. "No, gramma!" Abby scolded "just when I am practising!! Mostly I will just play cow with him."
And that is how my friendship with Robert and my Active Rain success story took flight. An email, a phone call, an excited declaration - and a promise. That in the spring of 2012, a Wagu cow will be born, and at 3 months of age, when it is around 60 lbs, he will put him/her in a dog kennel, buy a plane ticket to Manitoba - and Abby, my grand daughter will have her pet cow."

Jim Pomposelli (Chicago Bancorp)
said over 12 years ago,
"I met a woman whose husband had been waiting for his green card for nine years. Because he was not legal in this country, we could only use the woman's income. A year prior, this woman had to sell her home in a short sale. Somehow she managed to keep current in her mortgage payments until her short sale was complete. She was not delinquent once despite her financial hardship. This woman wanted nothing more than to regain her home. She was already told by two mortgage bankers that she did not qualify. I did a bit of research and found one FHA program out of a dozen that would approve a mortgage for someone with a short sale who was not deliquent without a waiting period. The woman was so desperate to get her home that she became to panic at every stage of the transaction. Somedays, I would speak with her 4-5 times a day to reassure her that we would get a mortgage for her home. She would call me late at night, weekends and early in the morning for updates. We had one little bump in the transaction and she became hysterical. My job was to display the calm, optimism and empathy that she so badly needed. She got her mortgage and seeing her with her home was one of the most satisfactory moments in my twenty year career."
