How ACTIVE RAIN SAVED MY COMPANY'S LIFE

Over the past year, I have spent over 30K in updated website design and SEO companies claiming

they could get me 1st page Google for 'this' much per month...

...Yea right! Little did I know!!!

This is where one of my very expensive learning curves began....

The very day my new website went up, my phone literally stopped ringing!

it was like radio silence...

I chalked it up to recession woes etc, but at the same time realized we had literally disappeared from site online as well!!!

Don't need to tell anyone I was FREAKING OUT!!!!

Not being computer savvy in any way shape or form...I was easy prey for the SEO companies that promised me they could FIX my problem and get me first page Google search etc....

I'm so embarrassed how easy I was to dupe!

Fast forward to October of this year...

We have this fabulous brilliant person begin working for us, who also happens to have a friend named Fred Light who does video tours for Realtors, home buyers and sellers in New Hampshire and who belongs to this incredible social networking site called Active Rain...

He also happened to speak ‘web-design' and when I asked him to look into what was going on, noticed that my website had been constructed using 8 year old technology called 'Frames' which was apparently a popular way of doing things before search engines like Google, Yahoo etc were born.

But by today's standards, I was completely invisible to the Google Spyders

... who ONLY recognize CONTENT!!!!



Google was filing my company as an ERROR!

Finally I was getting some answers! I felt like finally, I was starting to get it...

So apart from having to redesign my entire site, Fred told me that I needed to get involved in this thing called "SOCIAL NETWORKING"...

On NO I thought!!

Not Twitter and Facebook and Myspace!!! I had been fighting these forever thinking they were dumbing us down AGAIN by decreasing our conversation by allowing only so many characters... but that's another story!

Was I ever wrong!!

He told me I needed to join Active Rain, and really give it a shot.

So, having nothing else to lose and really feeling like I was starting to ‘get it',

I joined Active Rain in October 2009, and in less than 2 months, our company is on the FIRST page of EVERY search engine including Google, Yahoo, etc...

.... For next to nothing!

... My company finally had its' web presence restored...

So do I believe in Social Networking????? Absolutely!!

Is Active Rain the best business tool I have ever used???? Absolutely!

Did ACTIVE RAIN save my company's life??? ABSOLUTELY!!!

Am I ADDICTED TO ACTIVE RAIN??? Absolutely!

I am singing in the rain!
